![]() Not a gamedev, but I study IT-security, so I might be able to help. These do not sound like ideal solutions to me, so I'd like to hear what you guys think about this (or if you already encoutered this problem, how you solved it). Online there weren't many solutions, ranging from encrypting the files to obfuscating their names making them harder to find. What if your game contains lots of items and you don't want the players to check the art folder to find out what items they still need to find? However, what if you would want to hide these files? Not necessarily to avoid them being stolen, but also to hide future game content. What I am wondering about is the following: how do you hide the resources (sprites, soundtracks, etc) of your game? Up until now I always had a directory named "assets" or something where I would keep all my png files in. But after searching online I found no solution despite it seeming like quite a big problem to me. ![]() ![]() Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I am quite new to making games. ![]()
